The Westlake Drive-in was opened in the summer of 1950 near West 10th Street and I-465 on Indianapolis’ west side. Guests visiting the drive-in could see a double feature that cost just 55 cents. First-rate movies changed three times a week at the 1,100 space theater. The Voight family owned the Westlake Drive-in. The family operated the Drive-In for three decades. In the 1980s, the Westlake Drive-in began to struggle and closed in 1982.
